What role you will play in our team As a Senior Account Manager, you will leverage your sales expertise and business judgment to drive commercial success for our polymers product lines. Your key responsibilities will include managing critical client relationships and maximizing profitability to achieve business objectives. You will also interpret industry trends to inform strategy development, identify new opportunities, and propose solutions that position EM for market success. In this role, you will represent the Sales department on cross-functional teams, ensuring business leaders are kept informed. Additionally, you will mentor and support the development of junior sales representatives, fostering their growth and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What you will do

Participate meaningfully in industry and trade group associations, representing ExxonMobil interests

Develop deep relationships with key customers and distributors, acting as a trusted advisor for their business

Influence and engage with strategic customer portfolios and lead complex negotiations

Create new market demand and business opportunities; manage a pipeline of opportunities and progress through commercialization

Interpret macro competitor and industry trends / changes; provide input to the broader business organization for strategy development

Support Marketing to develop value-in-use assessment for new product development and deployment

Be the voice of the customer internally within ExxonMobil, bringing deep understanding of customer needs and market trends, helping to drive a market-backed approach to tactical and strategic decisions

Create internal organizational alignment within business to ensure delivery of business objectives; participate in cross-functional teams or projects to drive business results

Lead activities associated with development of fundamental sales skills for the commercial organization; provide coaching, mentoring, and training in area of sales capability

Identify, develop and facilitate deployment of commercial tools/processes/solutions

About you Minimum Skills & Qualifications

More than 10 years polymers industry experience

5+ years in sales roles

Bachelor’s degree

Houston based; travel required

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience related to polyethylene and other polymer materials in films value chain

Business and market development experience in US market

Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science

Strong commercial & business acumen

Strong value selling skills and experience with complex value chains
