CLEAR is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our Benefits team. You’ll be a trusted resource for employees, guiding them through their benefits options and ensuring programs are administered with accuracy, compliance, and care. You’ll manage health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs while helping to shape our benefits strategy and deliver a best-in-class employee experience. What you'll do: Responsibilities Benefits Administration
Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions
Reconcile vendor billing and benefits statements
Administer the company’s 401(k) plan, including enrollments, changes, loans, rollovers, and terminations
Oversee COBRA administration and qualifying life events
Conduct health and 401(k) benefit orientations for new hires
Leave & Claims Management
Process disability, FMLA, ADA accommodations, Paid Family Leave, and Workers’ Compensation claims
Act as the primary point of contact for employees navigating leaves of absence
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, IRS, and other federal/state/local regulations
Support compliance and reporting requirements, including summary plan descriptions, nondiscrimination testing, and Form 5500 preparation
Perform periodic audits of HRIS records and vendor billing
Employee Experience & Vendor Management
Serve as an advocate and trusted resource for employees regarding benefits questions and escalations
Play a major role in Open Enrollment planning, communications, and employee education
Partner with vendors and brokers to improve service delivery and resolve escalations
Provide training, communications, and presentations to educate employees about their benefits
Strategic Initiatives & Projects
Collaborate with the Senior Benefits Manager to evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements
Lead ad-hoc projects and support the launch of new benefits initiatives
How you'll measure success Resolution time and employee satisfaction with benefits support
Accuracy of payroll file processing and vendor billing
Compliance results in audits and reporting
Quality of leave tracking and coordination
Clear communication channels established with People team stakeholders
What you're great at Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
3–5+ years of U.S. benefits administration experience in a mid-to-large organization
Deep knowledge of health, welfare, retirement benefits, and leave administration
Excellent Excel and HRIS skills (Workday experience preferred)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on employee service
