Overview

Willamette Family (WF) is looking for Detoxification Nurses-LPN for Withdrawal Management in our Buckley Detox program. This position is part of the expansion of our current services. The Buckley Detox Program has a new building underway, with a new Buckley location that will allow for an expansion of crucial substance use treatment services for our community. Detoxification Nurse (LPN) | Withdrawal Management Facility:

Buckley Detox program, currently 22 beds; expanding to 55 beds. Work Setting:

Medically monitored, 24/7 detoxification center; fast-paced, client-centered care with continuous operations. Team:

Multidisciplinary team with support from Medical Director, Physician Assistant, and Nursing Manager. Employment Type:

Full-time or part-time; Employee (W-2), Hourly, Non-Exempt. Shifts include DAY, SWING, and GRAVEYARD; weekdays and weekends. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. Compensation:

Starts at $35.70/hr. Location:

Eugene, OR area (on-site required or willing to commute to Buckley Detox program). Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to detoxification clients, assessing, monitoring, and supporting them through the withdrawal process. Administer medications and treatments per standing orders and clinical protocols. Monitor and document patient progress; manage emergencies and coordinate hospital transfers or referrals as needed. Support medical providers: assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to ensure seamless care. Ensure effective shift transitions: thorough shift reports, accurate provider rounds lists, and critical updates communication. Maintain client roster: track admissions and census for each shift. Stay current with best practices in detoxification protocols and evidence-based care. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director, Manager, or Supervisor. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Current Oregon LPN license. Completion of an accredited one- or two-year nursing program. First Aid/CPR certification for healthcare providers or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment. Ability to position and operate equipment; physical ability to move and restrain clients in an emergency. The Ideal Candidate will have: Understanding of substance use disorders and related treatment methods. Knowledge of chemical dependency, nutrition, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Ability to follow directions and apply techniques for individual needs. Knowledge of de-escalation methods or willingness to be trained. Ability to work with diverse co-workers and clients with respect and dignity. Competency in applying substance abuse treatment practices. Employment Requirements

On-site availability in the Eugene, OR area or willingness to commute to Buckley Detox program. Background Check Approval from the Department of Human Services (initiated post-offer). Pre-employment Drug Screening (including Cannabis/THC) (initiated post-offer). Effective 03/28/2025, a 12-month waiting period is required before former clients may apply for employment to ensure professional boundaries. Job Duties (Detoxification Nurse, Withdrawal Management)
