Overview

Manager of Talent Acquisition — KIPP Capital Region Public Schools. The Manager of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing new, innovative, and competitive recruiting strategies, processes, and programs supporting business objectives to attract and acquire a qualified talent pool. General

Manage cultivation and selection data in a database system Use data to set and track ambitious goals, inform decisions, and influence stakeholders Represent KIPP Capital Region professionally and engagingly at internal and external events

Recruitment

Lead the region with advanced acquisition strategies to obtain top talent by achieving staffing objectives, including sourcing and evaluating candidates, coaching and advising hiring managers, and coordinating the recruitment process, relocations, and other related processes Develop innovative strategies for proactively sourcing and cultivating a robust talent pool through internal and external vehicles (cold-calling/resume searches, networking, partnerships, technology, referrals, internal movement, and other sourcing venues) Collaborate with hiring managers to coordinate a smooth, tailored recruitment process, including advertising vacancies and creating engaging job postings and marketing campaigns Provide metrics to help manage the TA process and coach leaders to improve acquisition Develop relationships with candidates to understand motivations, barriers, and needs Plan, facilitate, and coordinate interviews; ensure logistics are clear for both managers and candidates Host candidates during interviews and support the selection process with an equitable interview approach Work with the HR Operations team to manage the lifecycle of recruiting and hiring Attend and participate in recruitment and networking events (job fairs, college events, community and partner events) Ensure timely responses to applicants Comply with applicable employment laws and pre/post-hire documentation

Retention

Analyze employment data and assist with retention planning Engage with school communities and develop relationships with staff and school leaders Maintain relationships with staff to support the Intent To Return (ITR) process Partner with school leadership to support staff and schools as needed

Regional

Adhere to organizational policies; promote mission, values, and continuous improvement initiatives Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Expertise in the entire recruitment lifecycle and various attraction and selection techniques Experience with selection tools, assessment methods, social media, and recruitment branding Creative thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills; provide new solutions for recruiting Ability to relate to individuals at all levels; adaptable to changing needs Relationship management and ability to establish strong business partner relationships Clear verbal and written communication; solution-focused Ability to work independently and in a team; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities Strong decision-making, organizational, and training skills Emotional intelligence and resilience; time management and project management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting tools Knowledge of industry trends and compliance with employment laws (OFCCP) Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; change management and continuous improvement mindset Collaborative, growth-minded, and student-centered Analytical skills to measure and scale recruitment workflows Commitment to KIPP’s mission and inclusive environments Education/Experience

High School Diploma/GED Preferred: 2+ years of full lifecycle recruiting in a corporate environment with a track record designing and implementing recruiting strategies Experience sourcing passive and niche candidates via technology-based recruiting Experience with online recruiting, job boards, social media, direct sourcing, and referrals Experience working in underserved communities, preferably in a charter or public school environment Growth mindset and willingness to learn from feedback Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven culture Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular hours Commitment to inclusive environments and diverse perspectives Work Perks

KIPP Capital Region offers a competitive salary range of $68,400 – $75,600. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale based on experience and longevity within the KIPP network.
