Through the Gem State Public Health program, members will conduct needs assessments regarding collaborations and partnerships, and recruit potential partnerships as well as coordinate meetings, design training materials, and provide other support to public health agencies. Members will be trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Sources of Strength (SOS), and safeTALK. Members will coordinate ASIST, SOS and safeTALK trainings for community members to increase the number of suicide prevention interventionists throughout Idaho. The program will offer members academic advising and the opportunity to explore degree options that focus on public health. Member Duties :

Assessment Center Specialists will expand and enhance the capacity of existing public health programs and services at The Village De Sol by assisting staff in screenings, case management, and locating mental health services. Additionally, incorporating Sources of Strength activities and promoting mental health and educational skills with youth groups. The Specialist will also help increase capacity of services by reviewing and promoting mental health treatment plans to help guide the treatment process with staff for youth and family. Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18, Must be a U.S citizen, Permanent Resident, pass a Background Check, Complete the number of hours required, Participate in trainings and service events. Program Benefits :
