The Transaction Execution & Risk Management team (TERM) is responsible for risk management, supporting business growth, and high-quality transaction execution for debt underwritings globally. This includes deal commitments, investments, relationship loans, and best efforts debt financings. The team works closely with GBM Private colleagues and various control areas of the Firm to ensure proper diligence, documentation, review, approval, and efficient management of debt transactions. This position is part of the Chief Underwriting Office (CUO), within TERM. The role involves committee management, transaction coordination, recording decisions, reviewing memos, tracking data, and quality control. It focuses on investment opportunities across asset classes and may involve special projects and presentations. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Committee Senior Underwriting Officers and Chairs Manage deal pipelines and process agenda requests Coordinate with transaction teams for timely memo submissions Assist in memo review and quality control Schedule and organize committee meetings Track transactions through to execution Coordinate with Compliance and ensure regulatory requirements Prepare agendas, document minutes, decisions, and follow-ups Review transaction files for regulatory readiness Follow up on regulator requests Assist with reports and presentations Lead cross-divisional technology projects to improve efficiency Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field 3+ years of experience in financial services; experience with swaps, bonds, loans, derivatives, or real estate is a plus Motivated, adaptable, with a positive attitude Strong analytical and organizational skills, multi-tasking ability Excellent communication skills Interest in financial markets Flexibility to work hours as deal timelines require About Goldman Sachs
