Supplier Surveillance Inspector (Nuc)
– Palisades Nuclear Plant, Covert, MI Holtec Palisades is seeking a Supplier Surveillance Inspector to join the Palisades Nuclear Plant team in Covert, MI. Job Summary Perform responsibilities as a Supplier Surveillance Inspector to validate offsite maintenance/refurbishment activities are performed in accordance with supplier procedures and station directed requirements. Job Duties / Responsibilities
In conjunction with input from Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Supply Chain organizations, develop supplier surveillance plans/checklists to validate offsite suppliers’ adherence to applicable standards, procedures and station directed requirements. Select, perform, conduct, and document results of surveillance inspections to verify conformance to specified requirements. Identify and document supplier deficiencies in Corrective Action Program. Collaborate with station Engineering, Supplier Quality and Supply Chain organizations to ensure the surveillance information is appropriately characterized to reflect supplier performance and to determine the supplier’s ability to meet refurbishment requirements. Minimum Requirements
Minimum education High school graduate or GED equivalent plus three years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, testing activities; OR completion of college-level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline plus one year of related experience; OR four-year college graduate plus six months of related experience. Minimum Experience 3+ years’ experience in nuclear power, preferably Quality Assurance, Engineering or Maintenance. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to travel to supplier locations (50-75%) Ability to maintain Unescorted Access at Nuclear Plant Previous nuclear power experience pertaining to performing Supplier Surveillance Inspections and observing Factory Acceptance Testing Knowledge of nuclear and/or other industrial regulatory and quality requirements (10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ANSI N45) Effective written and oral communication skills Certificates, Licenses, etc. Desired but not required: ANSI N45.2.6 Level II or III Inspector qualification and/or ANSI N.45 Audit Experience ANSI Requirements Not Applicable Benefits
