Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

Hot Topic We’re looking for music and pop culture enthusiasts to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets. What You'll Do Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and customer service skills. Support leadership by stepping in on the sales floor and assisting when needed. Open and close the store as required, handling key responsibilities. Process sales transactions, promote add-on sales, and manage register operations, including communicating shortages or overages to the Store Manager. Understand sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them. Assist with store layout updates, including planograms and merchandising. Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners. Ensure store security by working with management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry. Maintain stockroom organization and store cleanliness. Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively. Perform any additional activities as assigned by the Store Leader. What You'll Need At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably with a passion for music and pop culture. Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills. High school diploma or GED. Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
