Personal Trust Administrative Officer II

The Personal Trust Administration Officer II administers simple to complex trust accounts in accordance with the terms of the trust document and all applicable laws.
What We're Looking For
Develop relationships with clients through frequent contact via telephone, email, or in writing. Communicate with FAs, attorneys, and CPAs regarding client needs. Review trusts to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and fiduciary responsibility. Interpret documents to ensure proper administration of trusts; ensure files are complete for annual audits by federal and state examiners under Regulation 9 laws and guidelines. Review and report account status annually; consult with supervisor to clarify ambiguous terms or provisions of the document. Coordinate, monitor, and execute post-death provisions with relevant trust company departments. Review the trust for dispositive provisions, notify remaindermen, and coordinate with attorneys, CPAs, and personal representatives on estate closing, including preparing Form 706 and asset transfers. Review Court Accountings under minimal supervision and, upon approval, file with the appropriate Court or Court Referee. Oversee the work of Trust Associates assisting with account administration, ensuring accuracy and addressing issues with the manager. Monitor trust activity; approve and coordinate account setup, asset transfers, statement recipients, cost basis collection, fee schedule setup, etc. Review daily account activity; establish recurring payments, disbursements, and monitor annual trust activities such as gifts and charitable trust revaluations.
What You'll Bring
Knowledge of and compliance with regulations such as 12CFR9, Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc. Strong analytical skills to identify complex problems, review information, develop options, and implement solutions. Ability to assess liability and react promptly. Excellent customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation. Logical reasoning skills to evaluate solutions and approaches to problems.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field 3-5 years of experience in Personal Trust Administration or Estate Planning
