TRC is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Consultant in the NY/NJ Metropolitan Area to report to one of our NY/NJ offices. The position requires a strong technical safety service background, project management skills, and experience in building and maintaining key client relationships with an interest in business development. The role focuses on health and safety compliance consulting and helping clients improve performance toward applicable health and safety goals. This position supports our national platform to deliver Safety Compliance Programs and Performance Improvement Services. Responsibilities

Development and implementation of written health and safety programs (e.g., hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, hot work, machine guarding, etc.). Develop, deliver, and support safety training programs. Hazard identification and risk evaluation. Health and safety compliance audits to evaluate applicability and conformance with applicable state requirements. Health and safety management system design, development and implementation to specific standards, such as ISO 45001, ANSI Z10, etc. Perform project management, mentoring, oversight and coordination. Develop client relationships, management and growth. Prepare client deliverables. Travel to client sites as needed. Work with client account managers/teams to meet client expectations and increase the services provided to our clients. Assisting a variety of industrial operations including power, chemical, food and beverage, aerospace, solid waste, forest products, rail transportation, oil and gas, retail, etc. Qualifications

Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, science or engineering related field. 10-15 years of experience with various manufacturing environments across targeted industries. Experience organizing and conducting OSHA health and safety audits. Experience in developing and delivering OSHA compliance programs. Experience performing safety due diligence assessments. Experience designing, developing and implementing safety management systems (ISO 45001). Experience in business development and working with key account teams to increase revenue. An interest in business development. Consultative demeanor with the ability to identify and offer solutions for clients. Strong written and oral health and safety communication skills. Team player who supports our national service platform. Ability to develop rapport with clients and employees. Ability to carry equipment up to 40 lbs and to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs. Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check. Valid driver’s license; ability to commute to project sites as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous consulting and client management experience. Service growth experience preferred. Benefits

Salary range: USD $97,864.00 – USD $160,000.00 per year, depending on experience, education, skill level, location and other factors. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance. Disclaimers
