National Co-Executive Director (Organizing & Programs)
– Remote within the United States. Reports to the Board of Directors. Compensation: $133,000 + benefits. Start Date: January 2026. About BYP100: BYP100 is a national, member-based organization of Black 18 to 35-year-old activists and organizers, dedicated to creating justice and freedom for all Black people. We pursue transformative leadership development, direct action organizing, advocacy, and political education using a Black queer feminist lens. BYP100 envisions a world where all Black people have economic, social, political, educational, and spiritual freedom. About the Opportunity: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the National Co-Executive Director (Organizing & Programs) co-creates the vision and strategic direction for BYP100’s next chapter in close partnership with the Co-Executive Director (Operations & Development) and in deep collaboration with staff and members. This leader grows and sustains the membership base, leads organizing and campaigns, and advances political education and capacity-building to strengthen leadership and deepen BYP100’s impact. What you will do
Co-Develop & Implement the Vision & Strategic Direction for BYP100’s Next Chapter – 35%
Co-create and steward BYP100’s next chapter of vision and strategy, building trust and alignment across staff, chapters, donors, and movement partners. Work with members to develop and implement a national organizing strategy; design campaigns, direct actions, and movement-building efforts that energize and grow the membership base. Lead a participatory budgeting planning process with chapters in collaboration with the Co-Executive Director, identifying needs and allocating resources to the membership base.
Strengthen People, Culture, & Organizational Cohesion – 35%
Support talent strategy and staff development to help teams grow and thrive. Cultivate leadership pathways that prepare members to lead within BYP100 and across the movement. Foster a culture of collective care, trust, and collaboration to sustain the team and deepen impact. Unify operations and programs so the organization functions as one cohesive team.
Deepen Member Engagement & Expand Programs – 20%
Mobilize resources in response to chapter needs, ensuring values-driven and sustainable support. Develop and facilitate political education and capacity-building to equip members to lead and organize with a Black queer feminist lens. Activate former chapters and mobilize new member leaders to expand BYP100’s reach and deepen impact in emerging regions. Collaborate with members to build grassroots fundraising strategies that expand chapter capacity and sustainability.
Build Operational & Governance Stability with Chapters & with the 501(c)(4) Board – 10%
Streamline operational and administrative processes for local chapter governance in partnership with members. Strengthen governance for the c4 Board by clarifying roles and supporting board recruitment. Deepen partnerships with movement allies and community stakeholders to expand opportunities for collective sustainability.

You are an Organizer & Political Strategist with deep Black-led organizing experience and a track record of growing leadership and power nationwide. You Guide Teams Through Change with clarity, transparency, and care; you translate strategy into actionable plans and milestones. You are deeply invested in political education and design/lead educational programs for organizers. You Bring Conflict Resolution Expertise with a transformative justice approach to repair harm and build trust. You Manage, Coach, & Empower Leaders using an asset-based approach and collaborate effectively in a remote team; knowledge of working with unionized staff is a plus. You Have Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills and can adapt messaging for diverse audiences. You Are a Systems Thinker and Knowledge Steward who codifies organizational systems to ensure sustainability beyond any individual. Working environment
This is a fully remote position from anywhere in the United States. Approximately 25% travel is required (in-person collaboration with chapters, annual board retreat, partner engagements). Relocation is not required and relocation expenses are not covered. Benefits

Our process includes three rounds, allowing candidates to share experience and leadership while assessing mutual alignment with BYP100’s mission and values. Round 1: Application submission and a one-way video interview. Four interview questions are provided for self-review. Round 2: Live 60-minute interview with the Search Committee (Board members and Chapter Leaders). Round 3: Final interviews with two finalists, scheduled for the week of December 1, 2025 (via Zoom).
