Position Summary
The Director of IT Security Operations is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of Minaris Advanced Therapies' information security operations. This includes developing and managing a comprehensive security strategy that safeguards enterprise information assets, leading incident response, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This leadership role works across departments to enforce security policies, mitigate risks, and respond to emerging cyber threats.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and lead the overall IT security operations strategy, including vision, roadmaps, and execution plans. Oversee the security operations center (SOC) and ensure 24/7 monitoring, incident detection, and response. Direct the implementation and management of tools and processes for threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security event monitoring. Lead response efforts to security incidents, including breach analysis, reporting, containment, and remediation. Establish enterprise-wide security standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure alignment of security initiatives with business objectives and risk management priorities. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audits and assessments. Drive adoption of industry best practices, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Stay up to date on current security trends, technologies, and best practices, and drive implementation as appropriate. Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws. Oversee risk assessments, penetration testing, and regular system security audits. Knowledge, Skills & Ability
Deep understanding of modern security technologies and architectures (e.g., SIEM, EDR, SOAR, firewalls, encryption, cloud security). Expertise in risk management, security frameworks, incident handling, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to develop and implement security strategies aligned to business goals. Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership in dynamic, cross-functional environments. Education & Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role. Extensive experience managing security operations teams and programs. Professional certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC).
