We are seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Castle Rock, CO. This position will work under the direction of the Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform monthly GL account reconciliations.
  • Record journal entries accurately, ensuring proper supporting documentation.
  • Accrue unapproved invoices at month-end to ensure financial statements reflect accurate liabilities.
  • Batch checks in Spectrum (ERP) in preparation for printing.
  • Prepare, track and distribute checks & lien waivers for vendor & subcontractor payments.
  • Support employees with credit card expenses and manage tracking software.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide necessary support to external auditors.
  • Support the team with other accounting-related projects on an ad hoc basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel specifically).
  • Viewpoint or Spectrum experience is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant construction accounting experience in lieu of a degree.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Office-based work with varying temperatures.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites with fluctuations in weather.

Full-time, Non-exempt

Salary

Starting at $60,000, Based on Experience
