About the role Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking a

Front Desk Supervisor

to join our dynamic Front Office team. The Front Desk Supervisor supervises a given shift at the Front Desk. Team members in this position direct staff who performs the following duties and will also perform these duties on their own: welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment. They also check guests out of the hotel, preparing and explaining the bill, respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guests' needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies.

What you will do

Supervises shifts at the Front Desk Directs staff that performs the following duties and will also perform these duties on own: welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment Responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies. Checks in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Assures that guests are assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room. Issues correct keys to the guest. Checks out guests at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest. Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction. Works directly with guest experience team to execute high level of service to all guest. As need, support as manager on duty for various shifts. Resolves customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone Maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel. Makes change, cashes checks, exchanges foreign currency. Reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff What you bring

Must have 2-3 years experience in a Front Office position (i.e. Receptionist/Agent, Night Auditor, Rooms Controller), preferably in a luxury hotel. A sincere willingness to provide service to residents and guests, staff and peers Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions Requires attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation and sales transaction paperwork OPERA knowledge and proficiency required What we offer:

This is a full-time position. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 30 hour weekly and must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
