About the Role
We're looking for a detail-driven
Quality Assurance Inspector
with a
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
certification to join a top-tier fabrication and manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional experienced in
structural steel, mining fabrication, piping, and ducting
- including
structural ducting and piping for pole dimensions .
You'll play a key role in ensuring all fabricated components meet strict quality standards, working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain excellence across every project.
What You'll Do Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated components Verify that all welding and fabrication work meets applicable codes, standards, and client specifications Review and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and inspection documentation Conduct inspections for
structural ducting and piping related to pole dimensions
to ensure accuracy and compliance Identify and document non-conformances, and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues Maintain accurate inspection records and generate detailed QA reports Support night shift operations with flexibility for occasional weekend work What You'll Bring
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
license or equivalent certification (required) 10+ years
of QA/QC inspection experience in industrial or heavy fabrication environments Strong hands-on experience with
structural steel, mining equipment, piping, ducting, and pole dimension fabrication Solid understanding of
welding symbols, NDE methods, and inspection tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills Clear communication and effective problem-solving abilities Willingness to work evening shifts and occasional weekends Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with
ASME ,
AWS D1.1 , and related codes Background in
mining
or
industrial fabrication and construction
