Overview

This will be a hybrid role (1-2 days a week) working out of our San Carlos, CA location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, supporting oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Our goal in R&D operations data science is to support R&D activities at Natera through data analytics and development of tools to optimize workflows and processes. As a data analyst on the team, you will generate data insights and reports to provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in our R&D processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to fulfill requests, implement measures to ensure the integrity and quality of the data, and automate reports and dashboards for performance tracking.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Extract, clean, transform, and analyze complex data to support R&D Operations and improve R&D processes, productivity, and outcomes.
  • Work closely with R&D stakeholders and R&D Operations teams to understand data needs and fulfill requests
  • Automate key performance indicator (KPI) reports and develop interactive dashboards to track performance, milestones, and results
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate results
  • Implement and monitor measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight or similar platforms
  • Ability to produce readable, reproducible, and documented code
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meet deadlines

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with version control practices and tools
  • Domain knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, operations research or related field
  • Expertise with the Python data science ecosystem
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with dbt
  • Proficiency in Linux environment

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
