Position Overview

The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator is required to excavate, move, grade, and/or compact earth under general supervision of a Field Foreman in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner. Routine maintenance and repair to equipment in addition to other duties are also required. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, scrapers, dozers, graders, compactors, snowblowers and other pieces of equipment. The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean and ensure all equipment is in proper condition.

Position Details

• Type: Full time
• Salary: DOE
• Equipment: Martin Construction Inc. uses CAT models and will be expected to operate 627s, 637s and 657s.

Responsibilities

• Safely excavate, move, grade, and/or compact earth under supervision.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in proper condition.
• Operate CAT models as specified (627, 637, 657).

Qualifications

• Preferred at least 6 months of experience.
