Quality Systems Analyst - Mount Auburn Hospital

Reporting to the Director of Quality & Patient Safety, the Quality Systems Analyst demonstrates strong analytic, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to coordinate and facilitate priority initiatives that drive innovative approaches to quality, safety, and efficiency for patients across the care continuum. Performs system administration functions and data analysis on Quality software applications. Provides data analysis and interpretation of quality measures and reported patient safety issues. Works with clinical staff to review and interpret data and implement performance improvement initiatives to deliver excellence in clinical care. Primary Responsibilities
Serve as system manager and report writer on rL Solutions Safety Reporting (STARS) and Patient Complaints database. Serve as the primary analyst for Vizient CDB and other systems including Provider Performance and Resource Manager, including managing extracts and reporting. Serve as the primary analyst for the Medisolv performance measure reporting tool for CMS, MassHealth and Joint Commission measures, including managing data extracts, users, reporting and measure submissions, and serving as the primary liaison with IS. Serve as a system administrator and report writer on PressGaney Fusion reporting application. Work collaboratively with OneIS and Quality and Safety to assure compliance with Promoting Interoperability (PI) and eCQM measures. Manage reporting of PI/eCQM data to Qualitynet and Joint Commission as required. Analyze data and compile reports from Quality Reporting systems and Clinical Data Registries using tools such as Excel and Crystal reports. Coordinate the retrieval of information and creation of reports from other systems as directed. Review documentation and analyze specifications from external reporting agencies and design or customize database software applications to meet these needs. Verify data collected and reported by the department is accurate by performing data validation checks. Manage assigned projects, including creating and maintaining work plans and keeping improvement teams on track to deliver on time. Develop and track project milestones, performance measures, and dashboards. Perform all steps of analysis: literature search, tool development, data collection, data analysis and benchmarking, and presentation of results. Facilitate the use of statistical techniques to analyze data through Vizient, Excel, and other database software. Prepare presentations and reports for work teams and leadership groups as directed. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or three to four years of relevant Healthcare IT experience. Healthcare IT, Electronic Health Record, or Clinical Data experience preferred. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and reporting deadlines. Ability to grasp technical information, detail-oriented, with excellent writing, research, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong definition, analysis, development, and documentation skills. Ability to understand and graphically display complex numerical data using various graphing tools and present to clinical and non-clinical staff. Knowledge of project management, quality improvement techniques, and statistical analysis methods. Experience with Clinical Data Registries, rL Solutions, Vizient Clinical Database, and Press Ganey is desirable but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Ability to facilitate groups and meet team deadlines remotely. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Training on specific Quality systems and reporting tools can be provided.
