Medical Laboratory Technician
– Parasitology – 3rd Shift – Dallas, Texas. Full Time/Benefitted Position. In This Role
You will be using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases in support of veterinary treatment. You will perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or biopsy samples received in the lab daily. You will set up, run, and read lab tests and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). You may specialize in one or more areas: Hematology; Chemistry / Endocrinology; Urinalysis; Cytology; Immunology / Serology. What You\'ll Need to Succeed
Must be able to work the overnight shift. High School diploma or equivalent required; 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a science-related field preferred. Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus but not required. Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and clinical diagnostic analyzers). Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a collaborative lab environment. Team-oriented and detail-focused with reliable, precise work. Ability to meet physical requirements of lab work (standing/sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lb, vision requirements). Potential exposure to biohazards, zoonotic agents, and hazardous chemicals in a laboratory setting. What You Can Expect From Us
Hourly rate targeting: $21/hr plus $3/hr shift differential. Opportunities for annual cash bonus and merit pay increases. Health, Dental, and Vision benefits being offered. 5% matching 401k.
