Position Overview: Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist)
Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams, and quality control. The Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) ensures high-quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. A working knowledge and experience in Digital Mammography, sterile technique, and documentation and record-keeping are essential for success in this role. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to our Core Values.
Qualifications and Requirements
Documentation of Digital Mammography Tomo Training (8 hours) Mammography Experience: minimum of 200 exams performed in the past 24 months Mammography Continuing Education: 15 hours completed in the past 36 months Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology Program Current CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) Current Mammographic Permit Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to effectively operate radiologic equipment Preferred (not required): Associate’s Degree ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – preferred
Where You’ll Work St. Josephs Medical Center’s Outpatient Women Imaging Center is a member of Dignity Health. St. Josephs Medical Center was founded in 1899 and is a not-for-profit fully accredited regional hospital with 395 beds and extensive services in cardiovascular care, cancer, and women’s health, including neonatal intensive care. It is located in Stockton, California.

$57.17 per hour
