We are seeking a full-stack software engineer who will collaborate closely with product and design to define requirements, drive iterative development, lead refactoring efforts to reduce technical debt and mentor teammates to build collective knowledge. The team builds our borrower refi application UX and API for partner integrations, working in React/TypeScript/Node.js and Ruby on Rails monolith. We are migrating from React to Hotwire Stimulus in Rails. Our approach focuses on continuous improvement by learning customers\' needs and reducing friction. Loan Origination & Lending Partner Enablement Teams
We are looking for Full-Stack Software Engineers to join our Loan Origination and Lending Partner Enablement teams. You\'ll work closely with product and design to deliver solutions that streamline back-office processes and develop new lending-specific products for our partners. This role is about owning the entire development lifecycle, from database models to the customer-facing experience. You\'ll be a key player in reducing technical debt, mentoring teammates, and driving iterative development on our Ruby on Rails monolith. Common Outcomes for all Engineers
Work with other engineers and leadership to improve our code, striving for flexibility and agility in the face of expanding and changing business requirements Mentor and coach engineers to expand their skillsets through peer programming, coaching, and being a multiplier of leadership Aid in work breakdown and agile trade-offs in our scrum process, efficiently and effectively delivering software sprint by sprint Partner with Product Owners to understand the market and business context for your product Play a role in defining and evolving how Engineering works at Caribou These roles may work remotely from states where Caribou operates, with a preference for the Chicago IL, Washington, D.C., Denver, CO or CA markets.
