Overview
Washington County Department of Housing Services is seeking its next Financial Analysis and Budget Manager. The department administers programs including rental assistance, affordable housing development, and homelessness services. The Position
This position leads the annual budget process and financial analysis for the Housing Department and the Housing Authority of Washington County. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting long-range forecasting and scenario planning, and overseeing department and fund budgets, audits, and internal controls. Hands-on experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis in a dynamic environment. Facilitates budgeting with various business partners, analyzes and communicates financial information, and supports long-range forecasting and scenario planning for capital projects and ongoing operations. Experience in multiple public or private sector entities. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with County departments, external audit firms, and stakeholders. Strong organization and project management skills with high attention to detail. Note: Financial Analysis and Budget Manager is a working title. Master\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field; AND two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in budgetary or financial analysis or auditing, including at least one year supervisory or lead work experience. OR Bachelor\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field; AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in budgetary or financial analysis or auditing, including at least one year supervisory or lead work experience. OR Associate\'s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field; AND six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in budgetary or financial analysis or auditing, including at least one year supervisory or lead work experience. OR Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis or auditing, of which at least four (4) years in the public sector and including at least one year of supervisory or lead worker experience.
