Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full-time Elevator System Assessor and Subject Matter Expert in San Diego, CA. Summary: This position will support recurring assessments and repair of Elevator Systems and equipment. Responsibilities
Provide engineering technical support U. S. Navy ship's Elevator Branch for all mechanical and related electrical systems, electrical/electronic controls, detection, alarm sensing, indicating, and monitoring systems to include Hydraulic Power, Pneumatic, Electrical, Mechanical, Hoisting and Control Sub-systems for the following systems and equipment: Cargo Weapons Elevators, Hydraulic Power Units, Ammunition Hoists, Ammunition Elevators, Aircraft Elevators (Safety Stanchion system and Hydraulic Power Unit), Cargo Elevators, Lift Platforms, Ship Service and Food Service Dumbwaiters, Conveyor Systems, Doors (Electrical, Pneumatic, Mechanical and Computer controlled, on Aircraft Elevators, Helicopter, Divisional Elevators). Complete assessment or technical assist and provide repair recommendations to the branch head in a Report or TAVR format as required for review and issuance on the equipment Conduct ship visits to provide technical guidance for repairs, troubleshooting or testing as requested for urgent or routine requests Review the adequacy of the onboard ILS, PMS, PQS and validate the current equipment configuration Conduct on-the-job training for Ships Force Maintenance personnel. The training must include adjustments, repairs, troubleshooting techniques and equipment/personnel safety Communicate with and conduct a debrief of cognizant Ships Force personnel reporting conditions found, repairs completed and/or required and training conducted with current operational condition. Any unresolved conditions must be briefed to the ship's Commanding Officer and Chief Engineer with corrections required Assist in the completion of elevator certification testing of equipment and System Operability Tests (SOT Level III) weight testing with government Certified Elevator Inspector Aid in the research and technical resolution of DFSs Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 4 (four) years' experience with U.S. Navy Elevator systems maintenance and repair Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens Preferred Qualifications
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting training and certification Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $32.30 - $36.00 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience ADA Notations
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 50 lbs Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels Able to ride ships at sea for extended periods Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
