Construction Estimator with CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) experience
to join our talented team. The ideal individual will be a good communicator and a team player with a solid foundation in cost and estimating. Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design. Supporting client land acquisitions. Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at design milestones. Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels. Understanding design stages and estimate levels. Providing commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering. Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle. Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/cost plans. Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as unions and tax. Supporting clients with monthly presentations. Delivering Life Cycle Costing models. Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture. SOX control responsibilities may apply where appropriate. Project/Program specific responsibilities
Individuals will work as part of a team providing estimating support across life science sector projects and programs. Preparation of benchmarking reports and development of appropriate data. Measurement and estimation from first principles for projects at all design stages. Proficiency in measuring using CSI Masterformat. Reviewing third-party estimates to identify market alignment and reporting findings. Preparation of estimates for project change orders and review of EPCM submissions. Market sector experience
Pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D facilities CGMP facilities Project/program size
Various, with projects ranging from $50m to $1bn+ Software and certification
CostX experience is beneficial but not essential; measurement software experience is essential. AACE membership or equivalent is not essential. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in construction cost management roles such as Estimating, Cost Engineering, Project Engineering, or Project Cost Controls. Client-facing strengths and experience supporting program-level cost management for medium or large-scale projects. Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including value management and value engineering. Strong communication skills. Compensation and other information
The salary range for this full-time role is $110K-$150K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and reflect base salary; this range does not include total compensation. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on candidate experience and qualifications. On-site presence requirements may change depending on client needs.
