As a Software Engineer III - DevOps Automation Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking – Risk, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Develop quality metrics in partnership with QA and AD teams for data processing, data ingestion, API validation, Cloud migration, and throughput testing Provide release management and SDLC experience, including pipelines deployments with tools like Jules and Jenkins Deliver robust production support, including batch job management, resolving data delivery issues, effective incident troubleshooting, and permanent resolution Drive automation of monitoring, reporting, and operational tasks to enhance system health and efficiency Focus on automation, process improvement, and the use of key monitoring tools to maximize stability and resiliency Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience Software engineering experience with a focus on automation, monitoring, and incident management Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL; operational experience in both Private and Public cloud environments AWS certified with strong knowledge of AWS components and Databricks Skilled in job scheduling tools such as Autosys and Airflow Proficient in AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and developing REST APIs using API Gateway Strong knowledge of AWS security and encryption (KMS, IAM, etc.) Experience in performance monitoring and capacity management using Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; drive to do more is essential for the role Willing to participate in support rotations, including weekends Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
