Overview
Role: QA Automation Architect (P&C Insurance Domain). Location: Hartford, CT (Onsite). Duration: Long Term. Experience in Property and Casualty is mandatory. QA Architect with deep expertise in insurance systems and testing methodologies. Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end QA efforts across insurance projects including test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting. Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define test coverage for policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, and customer self-service platforms. Manage and mentor QA team members (manual and automation testers), assigning tasks and ensuring quality delivery. Set up and maintain test environments and data for insurance platforms and applications. Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA, IRDAI, GDPR) in testing processes and documentation. Collaborate with automation engineers to develop and maintain test automation suites for APIs, UI, and back-end systems. Drive defect triage meetings and coordinate with development teams for resolution. Track QA metrics such as test coverage, defect density, and release readiness. Advocate for shift-left testing, CI, and continuous testing practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 6+ years of QA/testing experience, with at least 2+ years in a QA Architect role. Strong domain experience in insurance (Life, Health, or P&C), with knowledge of key business processes. Experience in testing insurance systems such as policy administration, claims, billing, or underwriting platforms. Proficient in manual and automated testing practices. Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM, etc. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies. Additional Details
