About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geophysicist specializing in land seismic data processing and imaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in advanced seismic processing workflows, a deep understanding of land acquisition challenges, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality subsurface images that drive exploration and development decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute end-to-end land seismic data processing projects, including QC, pre-processing, velocity analysis, statics, noise attenuation, migration, and advanced imaging techniques.
Collaborate with geologists, interpreters, and other geoscientists to integrate seismic results with geological models and well data.
Design and implement innovative processing workflows to address complex near-surface and subsurface challenges in diverse land environments.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior geophysicists and processing staff.
Evaluate and adopt new technologies, algorithms, and software relevant to land seismic processing and imaging.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and client or internal requirements.
Present technical results and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Support business development by contributing to proposals, technical presentations, and client meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
Proven recent experience in seismic data processing and imaging, with a strong emphasis on land data.
Expert knowledge of land seismic acquisition, statics, noise attenuation, velocity modeling, and migration/imaging algorithms.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in challenging land environments (e.g., complex near-surface, desert, transition zones).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience mentoring or supervising technical staff is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with machine learning or advanced computational methods in seismic processing.
Experience with 4D/Time-lapse land seismic projects.
Experience with model building and FWI
Knowledge of geophysical interpretation and integration with other subsurface data.
Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for workflow automation.
Why Join Us
Be part of a technically driven team committed to excellence.
Work in a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
