We’re looking for a passionate and curious Senior Associate Scientist to join our team. If you’re excited by new challenges, solving complex problems, and learning every step of the way, you might be the perfect fit. As a Senior Associate Scientist at Just-Evotec, you\'ll have the freedom to ask the hard questions, think outside the box, and find creative solutions that push us forward. What You’ll Do

Dive deep into purification process development for biotherapeutics, always looking for ways to improve and innovate. Accurately and consistently record laboratory work in electronic lab notebooks and paper batch records Compound purification buffers and solutions, assemble and pack chromatography column hardware Operate AKTA Avant & Pure systems using Unicorn software, Pendotech PMAT and four-channel NFF automated data collection systems, Repligen automated TFF systems, and glass washers Analytical results analysis from chromatography operations, organization and presentation of data, and report writing Support the transfer processes to manufacturing facilities Technology development to expand platform capabilities, reduce cost, and improve the efficiency of purification processes Regularly share your findings, ideas, and solutions in both team settings and presentations Who You Are

A curious problem-solver with a passion for learning and growing in a dynamic environment. BS or MS degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field and 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience Knowledgeable in mammalian derived downstream purification development, resin modalities (affinity, IEX, MM, HIC) and chromatography purification theory, and buffer compounding Normal and tangential flow filtration theory and operation for depth filtration, and UF/DF Experience executing laboratory scale viral filtration and single pass TFF operations Excellent experimental design and analysis skills, ideally including manipulation and presentation using JMP Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to share complex ideas in a simple, relatable way. Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $83,000 to $87,000. Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision), short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
