St. Bonaventure University - Faculty Position in Sports Management

St. Bonaventure University invites applications for a tenure-track position in sports management at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, housed within the School of Business. The university emphasizes teaching and seeks candidates passionate about our student learning-focused mission. Responsibilities include: Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses (12 credits each semester), both online and in-person. Serving as an advisor for undergraduate majors. Participating in service activities for the department, division, college, industry, and community. Faculty are expected to engage in: Teaching, including course preparation, grading, supervising labs, and guiding theses and projects. Research, publication, and professional development aligned with the university's mission. Student advisement with scheduled office hours. Committee work and participation in university activities. Attendance at meetings and official university events. Community engagement outside the university. Qualifications include: Ph.D. or ABD with an emphasis in sports management from an AACSB-accredited program, or a doctoral degree in sports management accredited by COSMA, with research in sports business. Expertise in two or more areas such as sport finance, economics, sales, marketing, international sport, governance, leadership, E-sports, event/facilities management, or related courses. Willingness to teach in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Sports industry experience is strongly desired but not required. Must meet AACSB scholarly academic qualification requirements.
