IMPORT ENTRY ANALYST (Entry only). States (only) for remote work: We are based in MD, but you can live in FL, NJ, PA, NY, SC, NC, GA, or VA. Base pay range: $40,000.00/yr - $58,000.00/yr Responsibilities
At Shapiro, our Import Entry Analyst focuses on maintaining a higher volume of entries and running an accurate, compliant “Customs entry” desk. This is not a robotic queue. There is no trucking or traffic involved. Provide excellent customer service in an engaging environment, learn/improve knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, manage vendor relations, internal communications, and monitor industry developments in areas such as trucking, port operations, customers, and competitors. Process customs entries and client communications. Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of customs brokerage or import entry experience; strong ocean entry background; experience with PGAs/OGAs, and customer service with importers preferred. Air experience is a plus but not required. Educational background in Supply Chain Logistics or International Business (or internship experience) preferred. 1+ years’ experience with PC, including Microsoft Office, databases, software, web-based applications, and vendor systems. 2+ years of experience with OGA (FDA, USDA, FCC, DOT). FLSA status: Non-exempt. Professional behavior, strong communication skills, project management abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
