Provide comprehensive care to inpatient GI patients, including assessment, management, and follow-up Collaborate with attending physicians to evaluate and manage urgent cases, including coordinating with endoscopy services Respond to consults from other hospital services Assist in coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams within the GI program Independently run outpatient clinics; travel to off-site locations as needed Participate in patient education and discharge planning as needed Requirements
Must possess Physician Assistant degree from an accredited school Inpatient experience or GI experience is a plus Two years of experience as a practicing PA preferred Must possess a State of Maryland PA License, in good standing Certification Requirements - CPR Skills in the use of various computers and software programs; computer literate Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when warranted Effective communication and tact with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, and the public Flexibility, integrity, and ability to function well as part of a team Benefits
