NAM Quantitative Analysis, Summer Analyst Program – New York (North America - 2026) You're the brains behind our work. Citi seeks Summer Analysts to join the Citi Markets – Quantitative Analysis (MQA) team in New York City. The program combines traditional financial engineering with machine learning and data science to design quantitative solutions and analytics that support diverse investment and transaction strategies across Markets. All Summer Analysts participate in a week-long training program and are exposed to a range of desks and projects throughout the summer. Our Markets Analyst Program is highly competitive and selective, designed to help you grow and build a long-term career within Citi. The program emphasizes internal mobility and career growth. What to expect
Summer Analysts will be placed on a quantitative modeling desk and work on a summer project highlighting quantitative methods as financial products and trading strategies become more sophisticated. You will present your results to senior leadership at the end of the program. The experience includes weekly speaker events, participation in a business-wide Data Science competition, and networking events with junior and senior professionals. You will shadow multiple quantitative trading and structuring desks, learning how markets are made for institutional clients while monitoring and hedging risk. Responsibilities
Participate in a week-long comprehensive training program during the first week of the Summer Program. Work on a summer project on a quantitative modeling desk and present results to senior leadership. Attend weekly speaker events and participate in a data science competition. Shadow multiple quantitative trading and structuring desks to learn market making and risk management. Qualifications
Obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (graduating Fall 2026 or Spring 2027) with a major in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field. Willingness to work in the New York office. GPA of 3.3 or above. Strong mathematical skills in data analysis and statistical modeling. Programming skills in C++, Python, or Java. Experience designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence models and machine learning algorithms. Creative problem solver with intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, quick thinking, and ability to juggle multiple tasks. Confident, articulate in oral and written communication. Fit and Preferences
