SWAN Analytical USA
Swan Analytical USA is excited to invite a Technical Service Specialist to our innovative team. In this essential role, you will ensure the optimal performance of our analytical instruments both at customer sites and from our office. Your responsibilities will include inside functions like assisting customers through email and phone communications, repairing instruments that are sent in, and refurbishing trial units. You will also engage in outside service, conducting on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of our instruments as well as competitors' products, all while providing exceptional technical support to our valued customers. Please note that this position requires travel of up to 50% from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Commissioning:
Install and configure SWAN analytical instruments at customer locations. Ensure calibration meets customer specifications for optimal operation.
Preventive Maintenance:
Carry out routine maintenance to keep instruments performing at their best. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and update service documentation regularly.
Technical Support:
Deliver outstanding technical support to customers through phone, email, and on-site assistance. Quickly troubleshoot and diagnose instrument issues with efficiency.
Repair and Upgrades:
Execute repairs, replacements, and upgrades on instruments as necessary. Work closely with the support admin and manager to source and acquire replacement parts.
Customer Training:
Educate customers on the proper use, maintenance, and calibration of SWAN instruments. Advise on best practices for optimizing instrument performance.
Documentation:
Keep accurate service records and equipment logs along with timely reports. Ensure prompt submission of service reports and necessary documentation.
Continuous Learning:
Stay informed on SWAN's product developments and industry advancements. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your technical expertise.
