Overview

We’re seeking a visionary technology leader to shape and scale our enterprise-wide approach to automated testing and quality engineering. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing a holistic automation strategy spanning applications, data, and platforms—integrating AI-driven innovation, modern testing methodologies, and strong governance to ensure our engineering teams deliver quality at speed. Key Responsibilities

Lead the definition and rollout of a unified automation and quality engineering strategy aligned with the company’s digital transformation goals. Champion a culture of continuous testing—integrating automation across regression, smoke, integration, and performance layers to boost reliability and velocity. Architect and evolve robust, reusable frameworks supporting UI, API, microservices, data pipelines, batch jobs, and event-driven systems. Establish best practices for BDD, contract testing, synthetic data management, and CI/CD integration. Introduce intelligent quality gates and shift-left testing across development pipelines. Develop standards and automation blueprints ensuring traceability across Jira, CI/CD systems, test management, observability tools, and knowledge platforms. Implement service virtualization and synthetic test data solutions to streamline complex testing scenarios. Drive experimentation and adoption of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies for smart test design, data creation, and predictive quality analytics. Build and lead a Quality Engineering Center of Excellence—fostering collaboration, reusable asset development, and upskilling initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with Development, DevOps, Product, and Platform Engineering leaders to embed automation throughout the SDLC. Define, measure, and communicate automation KPIs and outcomes to technology executives and business stakeholders. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and audit standards for all automation and quality processes. Leadership Responsibilities

Lead a diverse organization including people leaders, engineers, and external partners. Set direction, inspire innovation, and develop talent within the automation and quality engineering disciplines. Qualifications

15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 10 years focused on large-scale automation and quality engineering. Demonstrated success leading automation initiatives across distributed, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures. Strong programming expertise in Java and Python. Deep understanding of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, REST-Assured, Playwright, JMeter). Hands-on experience integrating testing into modern CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions) and containerized cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker). Proven knowledge of service virtualization, synthetic data strategies, and event-driven (Kafka/MQ) testing. Experience implementing quality insights dashboards and KPI-driven reporting. Familiarity with AI/ML or GenAI applications within the quality engineering domain. Adept at leading change, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and balancing technical and business priorities. Exceptional communication, decision-making, and organizational leadership abilities. Technical Expertise

Strong grasp of end-to-end QA methodologies including performance, usability, and functional testing. Deep understanding of test data management, defect tracking, and test lifecycle automation. Cloud-first mindset with hands-on experience in large-scale cloud migrations or native cloud application development. Compensation
