We are seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Accountant to join our Finance team on a
12-month, part-time (0.8FTE)
contract. Based in Melbourne CBD, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact while enjoying flexibility. In this role you will be the system owner for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and will play a key role in driving process improvement, system integration, and financial reporting excellence. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and our Microsoft D365 partner to ensure our financial systems are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with organisational needs. This is a hands-on role where you will combine technical accounting expertise with system administration, analysis, and training. Key Responsibilities Lead the administration, development, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and associated reporting tools (Solver, PowerBI). Manage system upgrades, configuration, and user access while ensuring best practice and compliance. Provide training and support to finance and non-finance users to optimise system use. Analyse and improve finance processes, implementing effective solutions to increase efficiency. Contribute to month-end and year-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Support external audit processes and ensure accurate, timely financial information is available. About You You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with a passion for improving systems and processes. With strong accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills, you thrive on solving problems and supporting others. What You’ll Bring Strong technical accounting knowledge and qualifications (degree essential, CA/CPA highly regarded). Demonstrated experience in financial systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present complex data. Experience with Solver, PowerBI, or other reporting platforms (desirable). Excellent analytical, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
