Job Details

Manage full lifecycle of civil litigation: drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, trials, appeals. Handle cases involving defamation, First Amendment/free speech, content removal, online harassment or privacy issues. Work with clients to craft strategy combining litigation and technical/communications tactics. Identify anonymous defendants or digital actors, work with experts or platforms in content takedown or de-indexing etc. Conduct legal research, write strong briefs, motions, and other documents. Maintain strong client communication. Meet productivity/revenue expectations once up to speed. Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school. Member in good standing of the Ohio Bar (or eligible and able to become so). Minimum ~5 years private practice civil litigation experience. Strong background or interest in media law, First Amendment, defamation, online privacy etc. Excellent written, oral advocacy and analytical skills. Tech literate / comfortable working with platforms, internet-related issues, and perhaps working with experts in online / digital fields. EEO and Privacy
