DiNapoli Duties Description : Work as a liaison between stakeholders to elicit, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Duties may include: conducting general requirements elicitation activities for improvement or automation of processes or functions; researching and documenting the current or as-is state of the business process or function; utilizing requirement elicitation techniques such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and document analysis; participating in the implementation of system changes and enhancements; conducting system tests using test scenarios and documenting results; training on new procedures and software and creating procedure manuals; conducting Gap analysis to compare the as-is and to-be states to identify differences which need to be addressed prior to implementation; and identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues for existing systems. Minimum Qualifications : For appointment to a Business Systems Analyst 2, you must have a bachelor’s or higher degree AND three years of business analysis experience where your primary duty was performing three of the five following activities: Using business analysis techniques to elicit requirements as the foundation for the solution to the organization's business needs; Using business analysis techniques for the purpose of identifying solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the system, business process, or product/service to fulfill the business requirements; Describing in a comprehensive written document what the system, process, or product service must do in order to satisfy the established business requirements; Validating requirements throughout the product/system development life cycle; Verifying requirements throughout the product/system development life cycle. OR a bachelor’s or higher degree AND possession of a Level 2 International Institute of Business Analysis/Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (IIBA/CCBA) Certification AND one year of business analysis experience where your primary duty was performing three of the five activities listed above. OR possession of a Level 3 International Institute of Business Analysis/Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA/CBAP) Certification. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as PeopleSoft. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrates passion for business analysis. Demonstrated experience using recognized business analysis elicitation techniques to elicit requirements. Demonstrated experience using recognized business analysis methodologies to design solutions aimed at improvements by elevating the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes.
