Join the Office of the NYS Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli as a Business Systems Analyst 2. The role involves working as a liaison between stakeholders to elicit, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Duties include conducting general requirements elicitation activities, researching and documenting current business processes, utilizing requirement elicitation techniques, participating in system implementation, and conducting system tests. Responsibilities

Work as a liaison between stakeholders to elicit, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Conduct general requirements elicitation activities for improvement or automation of processes or functions. Research and document the current or as-is state of the business process or function. Utilize requirement elicitation techniques such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and document analysis. Participate in the implementation of system changes and enhancements. Conduct system tests using test scenarios and documenting results. Train on new procedures and software and create procedure manuals. Conduct Gap analysis to compare the as-is and to-be states to identify differences which need to be addressed prior to implementation. Identify, analyze, and resolve issues for existing systems. Minimum Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have a bachelor’s or higher degree and three years of business analysis experience, or a bachelor’s or higher degree and possession of a Level 2 International Institute of Business Analysis/Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (IIBA/CCBA) Certification and one year of business analysis experience, or possession of a Level 3 International Institute of Business Analysis/Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA/CBAP) Certification. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as PeopleSoft. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). Demonstrates passion for business analysis. Demonstrated experience using recognized business analysis elicitation techniques to elicit requirements. Demonstrated experience using recognized business analysis methodologies to design solutions aimed at improvements by elevating the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes. Demonstrated experience developing test scenarios, scripts and data, and reviewing test results. Strong facilitation and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with others to analyze problems quickly and develop the best solutions options. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, to adapt to change, and work well in a participative, team-oriented environment with diverse assignments. Formal training in business analysis concepts and methodologies. Membership and/or participation in the International Institute of Business Analysis and professional communities of practice.
