Live! by Loews - St. Louis, MO is a branded collaboration between Loews Hotels & Co, The Cordish Companies, and the St. Louis Cardinals. The hotel is part of phase two of the successful Ballpark Village Live! complex, offering locally handcrafted Loews experiences for both group and leisure guests. The property features 216 guestrooms, 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space with spectacular views, and multiple food & beverage outlets, including an outdoor lounge and a Bourbon Bar.

General

Performs work requiring basic skills in trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting/wall covering, locksmith, and other general maintenance duties.

Responsible for maintenance within the primary trade area of expertise.

Provides supervision and training to subordinate engineering staff.

Responds to trouble, complaint, and maintenance requests throughout the hotel and grounds as directed by supervisor.

May work with hazardous materials and chemicals, following safety guidelines.

Uses tools, equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and efficiently, according to manufacturer instructions and MSDS requirements.

Checks daily work assignments and maintenance requests at the beginning and throughout each shift.

Communicates the status of job assignments and requests to the supervisor.

Notifies supervisor or dispatcher upon completion of work.

Completes records related to work performed.

Makes minor repairs to equipment in the shop.

May assist with dispatcher duties as needed.

May assist with or perform minor setup duties for hotel functions.

Familiar with hotel emergency procedures and able to respond promptly and accurately.

Supports teamwork and promotes a collaborative work environment.

Notifies relevant parties of problems or significant issues promptly.

Maintains a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude towards guests, management, and colleagues.

Attends hotel meetings and training sessions as required.

Maintains cleanliness and good condition of equipment and work area.

Follows emergency procedures and safety regulations.

Adheres to hotel and department policies, standards, and rules.

Practices recycling whenever possible.

Stays informed about hotel updates and changes.

Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The candidate must possess the following:

Post-secondary training in engineering or maintenance-related disciplines.

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Strong mechanical background with at least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.

Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.

Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Guest-oriented with excellent hospitality skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
