Position Summary
Staff Counselor – Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. Provides culturally informed short-term individual counseling, group counseling, diagnostic assessment, on-call crisis intervention and management (daytime and after hours), risk assessments/mandated risk assessments, and long-term community counseling referrals to College students. Conducts culturally informed outreach and prevention services to students, faculty, and staff, with particular focus on BIPOC students. Participates in psycho-educational activities addressing students\' developmental needs and consults with faculty and staff regarding psychologically distressed students. Serves on campus-wide committees. Responsibilities

PhD plus 2-3 years\' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications – Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Master of Social Work (MSW). Two to three years direct clinical experience (can include internship). Demonstrated experience providing counseling to BIPOC student population. Demonstrated experience in development of programming that addresses the unique counseling needs of BIPOC student populations. College or university counseling center experience. License or License-eligible within two years of hire in New Hampshire required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a multidisciplinary college/university counseling center setting. Strong crisis intervention and consultation skills, including suicide assessment and intervention; familiarity with voluntary/involuntary hospitalization; ability to confer with faculty, staff and students regarding emergency situations. Demonstrated competency, experience, and commitment to issues of diversity in the delivery of clinical services and in outreach/programming. Department Contacts
