Overview
Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.
Vacancies There are multiple vacancies in various departments in the City and County of Honolulu:
Three (3) vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Capital Projects Division, Construction Branch
Two (2) vacancies in the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering & Construction Division
Two (2) vacancies in the Department of Facilities Maintenance, Storm Water Quality Division
One (1) vacancy in the Department of Transportation Services, Transportation Rail Division

Education and Experience Requirements Education:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

Experience and License Requirements Experience:
Three years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.
License:
Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii. Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment. 2. Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license, as required.
