The Opportunity: Mattel is seeking a Senior Manager, North America Commercial Finance to lead the accounting team for the region. The role is located in El Segundo, CA and reports to the Director of Accounting, North America Finance. The Senior Manager will help ensure full GAAP compliance and internal practices for the region, and will work with the NA Finance Leadership team to provide critical insights and reporting on the financial performance of a $3B+ portfolio that includes the United States and Canada. What Your Impact Will Be

Operations Co-Manage the region's close process and ensure accurate and timely completion of transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations to support close and reporting processes Apply US GAAP and Corporate Accounting policies; seek guidance from the Accounting Director and Corporate Controller’s office in complex situations Represent North American business unit on Next Generation Finance, a project to redesign finance at Mattel (new GL structure, new company structure, new accounting software), expected to run through 1H 2026 Lead accurate and timely issuance of month-end, quarter, and annual financial reports Manage and monitor critical accounts (e.g., accounts receivable, sales, sales adjustments, cost of sales, variable costs, POS, and inventory) Coordinate internal and external audits with leadership and the Corporate Controller's office Analyze region's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and budget compliance in coordination with the region's Accounting Director Review yearly SOX requirements from external auditors and help update policies and documentation Ensure compliance with applicable governmental finance and accounting regulations, including filing and maintaining required forms Issue regular status reports to leadership on the region's financial performance and special projects Serve as a key point of contact for questions, ad hoc projects, and problem resolutions Leadership / Teaming Collaborate with other finance teams (Global FP&A, Global Supply Chain Finance, Brand Finance, Franchise Finance, and Commercial teams) to understand financial drivers and provide reporting, analysis, and insight for decision making Develop a close working relationship with the shared services function, overseeing AP invoice entry, payment processing, cash application, AR invoice collections, AR deductions, and Balance Sheet account reconciliations Lead performance management and appraisals, including goal setting for direct reports Team Leadership: Approximately 4 team members Continuous Improvement Drive continuous improvement for accounting/finance processes, creating best-in-class processes and policies that evolve with business needs and risks What We're Looking For

Master's degree preferred (Masters, Accounting or MBA) Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred Industry experience with multinational consumer products companies preferred 10+ years of experience in various accounting capacities (general accounting, management, external reporting) Strong knowledge of US GAAP Expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and project management Effective in a highly matrixed structure; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities Innovative and entrepreneurial thinking with strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and analytics applied to business decisions Note: The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range; base pay will be determined based on location, skills, and experience.
