Position Title: Assistant Professor of Analytics Job Posting Number: 2026049TTL Location: San Marcos Department: Dept of Information Systems & Analytics Position Description: The Department of Information Systems and Analytics (ISA) in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Analytics beginning Fall 2026. The selected applicant will be expected to conduct high-quality research in supply chain analytics, leading to peer-reviewed scholarly publications. We seek Supply Chain Analytics scholars with strong expertise in applying Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) to their research. The selected applicant will also teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses and perform service at the department, college, university, and professional levels. The ISA Department offers a university-wide undergraduate minor in Data Analytics and offers several degree programs, including the Master of Science in Data Analytics and Information Systems (MSDAIS), the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Information Systems, and a newly launched BBA in Business Analytics. MSDAIS has concentrations in supply chain analytics and Applied AI. The department contributes to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs. The McCoy College of Business provides student-centered undergraduate and master’s programs that prepare graduates for responsible, professional, and successful work in diverse and dynamic global environments. The college emphasizes innovation, experiential learning, student-focused advising, research, and service as it educates the next generation of global business leaders. Texas State University is in San Marcos, 25 miles south of Austin and 60 miles north of San Antonio. The campus is in the Texas Hill Country along the San Marcos River and near major airports. The successful candidate is expected to: Conduct high-quality research in supply chain analytics leading to peer-reviewed publications. Apply Data Science, AI, and ML methods in research. Teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses. Perform service at the department, college, university, and professional levels. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Earned Ph.D., D.B.A. or ABD from an internationally accredited institution with a business-related focus in supply chain/operations management, management science/operations research, and data analytics/data science/decision science. ABD candidates must defend their dissertation by the date of hire. Active business-related research agenda in Supply Chain Analytics. Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited business school. Supply Chain Analytics research experience with AI, ML, Stochastic/Dynamic Programming/Learning. Experience in applied/empirical supply chain research. Previous teaching experience in supply chain and data analytics. Evidence of effective teaching (if any). Track record (or potential) for publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience (or potential) in securing external funding and/or industry connections. Application Procedures
