ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at ECU). Job Duties

This is a full-time faculty psychiatrist position to provide clinical services, predominantly via telepsychiatry, to patients presenting in the emergency departments of hospitals affiliated with the North Carolina Statewide Telepsychiatry Program (NC-STeP). The program is expanding to 80+ hospitals across North Carolina within the next 12 months; the current network includes 71 hospitals. The psychiatrist will spend most of the time providing direct clinical service and will assist with monitoring and improving NC-STeP outcomes, integrating with community-based providers, and implementing evidence-based practices. The position emphasizes a leadership role and active engagement in clinical, educational, and scholarly activities. Fixed Term Only: Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. Employment provides eligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) with employer contributions and investment options. This position is not eligible for the NC Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System (TSERS). MD or equivalent degree from an appropriately accredited institution; completion of accredited residency training; board certification in psychiatry or eligibility; and eligibility for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina. License or Certification

Must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina. Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
