Senior Client Engagement Manager – Defense sector (Military, Aerospace, Government) at Microchip Technology Inc. Our global growth continues and we want you to be an integral part of it. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets using insight and consultative selling to engage clients about their industry and Microchip’s solutions. Identify key client stakeholders and coach them to build consensus for Microchip’s solutions within their organization. Collaborate within a global team to develop and implement Department of Defense (DoD) sales strategies for DoD affiliates, Defense Agencies and CONUS. Work with internal departments to create and develop sales and growth plans. Analyze performance, implement strategies to achieve goals, reinforce brand position, and keep managers updated on customer plans. Maintain excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage defense clients and navigate complex sales cycles. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including program managers and contracting officers, for long-term success. Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends and defense budgets; shape future procurements, develop win strategies, and build a high-value opportunity pipeline. Develop and maintain relationships with military commands, acquisition offices, and prime contractors. Manage proposal development and responses to RFPs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as FAR and other government rules. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience marketing or selling to key clients in the US Government/Defense/Military market, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills. Comprehensive knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQ), funding pathways, and compliance requirements. Strong track record of driving successful sales to the DoD market, particularly with agencies like the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, defense contractors, and federal agencies. Basic understanding of Communications/Server/Storage/Networking/Aerospace/IT architectures in military defense applications. Understanding of technologies such as SATCOM, PTP, NTP or advanced IT services is highly valued. This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
