Join Mizuho as a Screening Systems Modernization Engineer!
In this role you will serve as a hands-on technology leader focused on the implementation, optimization, and integration of advanced compliance screening platforms. This role emphasizes deep technical expertise in FIRCO, Prime Compliance Manager, and Quantexa, and requires a proactive approach to modernizing legacy systems into agile, cloud-native solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that screening technologies are robust, scalable, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hands-on implementation and optimization of compliance screening platforms including FIRCO, Prime Compliance Manager, and Quantexa
Collaborate with architecture teams to design scalable cloud-native solutions for screening technologies
Develop and execute integration strategies across partner systems and data platforms
Ensure screening platforms meet AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance requirements
Work with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to align technology capabilities with regulatory needs
Provide technical leadership in system upgrades, API integrations, and data pipeline enhancements
Mentor engineering teams on best practices in screening technology deployment
Support vendor evaluations and contribute to platform selection decisions
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience with compliance screening technologies including FIRCO, Prime Compliance Manager, and Quantexa
Proven expertise in cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred) and hybrid deployment models
Strong programming and scripting skills for system integration and automation
Experience with data platforms such as DataBricks and Snowflake
Deep understanding of financial services compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Cloud architecture certifications (Azure strongly preferred)
Experience with regulatory reporting systems and API management
Background in system performance tuning and data quality assurance
Compensation and Benefits The expected base salary ranges from $112k-$175k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
