Job Summary We're seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This newly created role will play a key part in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements while working closely with the Controller and leadership team. The ideal candidate has strong US GAAP knowledge, hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, and expertise in AR/AP, inventory, and general ledger management, along with the ability to analyze large datasets in Excel and ERP systems. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis

Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements

Manage inventory accounting and related transactions, ensuring alignment between subledger and general ledger

Support reconciliations of vendor and intercompany accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues

Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and track capital projects

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities

Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and workpapers

Collaborate with operational and finance teams to ensure accounting results reflect business activity

Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting, and improve overall accounting efficiency

Assist with ad hoc projects as needed to support the accounting function

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with required experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger practices

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas

Experience with ERP systems

Demonstrated ability to reconcile high-volume accounts and resolve discrepancies

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Experience

Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and variance analysis

Exposure to accounts payable and vendor account reconciliations

Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or automation initiatives

Background working in manufacturing or distribution settings
