We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong experience in modern middleware environments to support WebLogic 12c+ (or JBoss EAP) deployments in cloud and containerized infrastructures. This is not a legacy admin role; we are looking for someone who can automate, optimize, and modernize our platform. Base pay

Performs as an individual contributor of middleware team that builds and supports customer-facing applications with challenging business use cases, existing systems, and operational problems. Experience working on various middleware application servers and containers from monolithic to modern versions. Apply middleware infrastructure automation code with focus on scalability, security, and performance; own capacity specifications, quality, release deployments, and monitoring of production health. Shell/Perl/Python scripting experience to implement changes in pipelines. Maintain technical documentation on implementations, README files, and status pages of projects along with Release team handover. Collaborate with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, Test Automation, and other teams to define, prioritize, sequence, and scope middleware around business and functional areas. Accurately scope effort, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs with team members and stakeholders. Instrument infrastructure and application performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, tools instrumentation, and KPI management. Perform impact assessment of product upgrades, patching, migration, and hotfixes. Plan, coordinate, and execute projects across environments (Regression, Performance, Production, Post-production). Support and collaborate with other engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases. Familiarity with common issues that cause builds/deployments to fail (out of memory, disk space, missing libraries or security certificates, etc.). Proven track record of handling and troubleshooting production and nonproduction applications end to end and infrastructure issues, with root-cause analysis. Required Skills
8+ years hands-on DevOps experience with middleware platforms. Experience with WebLogic 12c+ (preferred) and/or JBoss EAP in production environments. Strong scripting skills (Shell required; Python/Perl advantageous). Familiarity with IaC (Terraform) and configuration management tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet). Experience with containerization (Docker/Podman) and ideally Kubernetes operators for WebLogic. Azure cloud experience is a plus. Focus on automation, IaC, and modernization rather than just maintaining legacy WebLogic environments. Interviews
