Overview
Academic Program Director - Humanities at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Los Angeles, CA. The USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking an Academic Program Director in the Academic Services Hub. The hub supports approximately 35 departments across Dornsife within a divisional framework, serving one division with localized services to foster the academic, instructional, and research-driven engagement of faculty, staff and students. Based on a divisional framework, Academic Services Hubs provide staff support to multiple departments within the division. The Academic Program Director in the Humanities will directly lead the academic program management and student support groups in the hub, with indirect supervision of the hub’s administrative/clerical group. The director will collaborate with the Senior Office Manager and Administrative Director to ensure effective operations and the unique identity of each department within the division. Responsibilities
Lead short-term and long-term strategic planning within the hub, including standardizing processes and procedures. Establish and maintain feedback loops with department chairs as informative channels of change. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures; foster strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with the Dean’s office to resolve critical issues and promote collaboration among academic disciplines through the organizational hub structure. Qualifications
Preferred qualifications: Experience in higher education, specifically working with academic departments Ability to take an innovative approach to changing landscapes and conflict resolution Ability to communicate consistently and effectively with multiple stakeholders Ability to critically analyze situations/challenges to inform decision making Salary range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $132,164 - $166,138. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer alignment, legal requirements, contractual stipulations, grant funding, and external market considerations. Work Arrangement:
100% full-time, on-site/on-campus position. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Required Documents and Additional Information
