The Senior FPGA Design Engineer will design, develop, and implement custom logic solutions for advanced aerospace systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of high-quality, reliable, and efficient custom logic designs into aerospace products. Your expertise in digital design, verification, and FPGA/ASIC development will contribute to delivering solutions that meet safety, quality, and performance standards. GE Aerospace’s Defense & Systems (D&S) business provides capabilities to meet today7s dynamic threat environment, powering two thirds of all U.S. military aircraft with more than 25,000 engines in our installed base. Roles and Responsibilities
Design and develop custom logic solutions for aerospace applications, including FPGA and ASIC designs. Perform system-level analysis and requirements definition to align with project goals. Conduct simulation, verification, and validation of custom logic designs to ensure functionality and reliability. Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate custom logic into broader system architectures. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in custom logic design and aerospace systems. Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college in Electrical or Computer Engineering A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in design A minimum of 4 years of work experience in Mil/Aero/Avionics, DO-254 and/or Civil FAA Certification Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in computing product development containing SoC architectures. Experience with Zynq and PolarFire devices in system‑on‑chip or system‑on‑module applications with high‑speed data interfaces (PCIe, AXI, SERDES, DMA, etc.). Experience with avionics interfaces and protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, A429, A664, and TSN. Experience with Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, Microsemi Libero, and Xilinx Vivado. Experience in VHDL and UVM test benches. Experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and HyperLynx PI/SI. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to break down complex problems with critical thinking. Additional Information
GE will require proof of status prior to employment. This role requires onsite work at either the Bohemia, NY or Pompano Beach, FL GE Aerospace facility. Salary ranges vary by location and cost of living. This posting is expected to close on 12/01/2025. Benefits

The base pay range for this position in NY is $145,800.00 - 180,000.00. The base pay range for this position in FL is $145,800.00 - 160,000.00. The offered pay may be influenced by experience, education, and skills. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on the base salary.
